Grand Central Bike Hub
Team project

Cornell University
Two weeks studio by Nahyun Hwang and  David Moon

The Great Central Terminal used to be the main gates of New York City from Western America and a center of transportation of New York City itself. It has played various roles according to the city expands and develops as well as important social role. Overlapped transportation layers of the Great Central Terminal indicates that the GCT is not only a landmark itself, but the object revealing the history of the city. The project offers a new transport layer – bike layer. It includes the path through the building and the viaduct and also bike services instead of the stores which make the former main transportation hub just a trade center.
